VegTrug Cold Frame

Frame Made From FSC (sustainable sourced) Chinese Cedar Wood – for an attractive appearance and years of use. 

Glazed With 3.5mm Polycarbonate – this provides maximum insulation, helping to retain heat over winter. It is also an excellent safety glazing, being virtually shatterproof. Being almost clear this polycarbonate has good light transmission and gives a soft diffused light which reduces the chance of scorching and encourages healthy plant growth. All sides and roof (not base) are glazed with polycarbonate. 

Available In Two Finishes – choose either natural or with a grey wash. The cold frame you receive will have a pre-treated factory finish using a water based, food safe preservative. To keep it looking good and to maintain its life it will need re-treatment annually. 

Available In Two Sizes :
 
Small – 3ft 5in / 105cm long x 2ft 6in / 76cm wide x 18in / 45.5cm high at the back sloping to 8in / 20cm high at the front.

Medium – 6ft / 183cm long x 2ft 6in / 76cm wide x 20in / 51cm high at the back sloping to 8in / 20cm high at the front. 

Hinged Opening Roof – designed to allow easy access to the plants within the cold frame. Metal stays either side of the cold frame will keep the lid open as you work. The small cold frame has one opening roof panel which covers the complete cold frame and opens from one side. The medium cold frame has roof panels which meet in the centre of the cold frame and can be opened from either side independently.
