The Deluxe Original Wormery Composter

Easy to use this wormery comes complete with full instructions and a Handy Information Booklet which will ensure your wormery works efficiently to turn your kitchen waste into an excellent liquid feed and quantities of rich organic compost. Also included with this Deluxe wormery is a copy of George Pilkington’s ‘Composting with Worms’ book.

Use indoors or outdoors as the wormery should be odour-free. It’s easily moved throughout the year as the worms will not thrive in extremes of temperature particularly when getting started. So avoid putting the wormery where it will be in full sun and move it into a frost-free position over winter.

Size approximately 30″ (76cm) high, 24″ (61cm) wide, 17″ (43cm) deep. Capacity 100 litres (21 gallons).

The body of the wormery has a high quality rubberised lid seal, a tap which fits towards the base of the composter, an internal separating platform and has double brass-aeration vents.

Includes special composting Tiger Worms not common earthworms. The worms should arrive in excellent condition and be clearly recognisable as small wriggly worms. They are particularly vulnerable to temperature extremes whist they remain in their small bag so establish your wormery as soon as possible after receipt.The wormery can be supplied either complete with live worms or if you prefer (for example if you are purchasing the Wormery as a gift) the womery can be supplied with a voucher which you return to the manufacturer when you want the worms to be delivered. Please specify which you prefer when ordering.

Includes Lime Mix which is used to prevent the environment in the wormery becoming too acidic. Once the wormery is established a handful of lime mix should be added every 4 weeks or so. Ground lime, Dolomite or crushed egg shells will do the job just as well but do not use ordinary garden lime as this could harm the worms.

Supplied with Worm Beddingto help the worms to get established.

Supplied with Coir Fibre Moisture Mat designed to promote the dark, moist conditions in which worms will thrive. This breathable mat is fitted at the interface of the compost and food top layer where the worms will be working.

Includes a robust black stand to raise the wormery off the ground to allow easy access to the tap from which you extract the liquid feed produced.

Delivery:
Delivered direct from manufacturers please allow 7-10 days for delivery. When placing your order please inform us of any access restrictions to your property (i.e. narrow lane/road, stopping restrictions on the road etc.).
Couriers will leave goods in a safe place if you specify when placing your order where goods can be left e.g. “If I am out, leave it by the dustbins.”
