PestController Ultrasonic Mouse Deterrent

24/7 Protection – emits a 40 KHz sonic signal approx. every 8 seconds.

Repellent area – covers and area of up to 1000 sq ft / 100 sq m. It needs to be in a position where there is a clear area so the ultrasound can spread, as it will not go through solid objects. The time taken to rid an area of mice will depend on the level of infestation present. Usually the effect will be seen within two weeks, but in more serious cases it can take up to 4 to 6 weeks. It should be left on all of the time – not just at night or just during the day.

An indoor device – this unit is not waterproof so should be kept dry. This makes it suitable for use in your house, garage, greenhouse, outhouse or shed but not for use outdoors in your garden. The manufacturers recommend placing the unit on the floor or under a work surface. However, if there is no suitable floor space it can hung from a wall-mounted screw using the keyholes slot on the back of the unit.

Battery powered – always use a Duracell 9 volt battery (MN1604) (not included). We would expect one battery to last for approx. 3 months and then need to be replaced. When the light on the unit stops flashing you know that the battery needs replacing. Use only Duracell alkaline batteries, the use of other batteries can invalidate the warranty.

Please note – developed to deter mice, it has been reported to deter rats but should not be used in areas occupied by bats. As different animals have different levels of hearing this allows these ultrasonic pest repellers to deter certain animals without affecting others.
